In that last two weeks, at least 115 people have been executed by hanging-- some were executed without former notice to families. And others were executed publicly for all to see.
Just a few weeks back, Iran and the P5+1 announced that they they reached an agreement on the framework for which to strike a nuclear deal.
Those idealists who supported the deal around the world broke out in cheers! Social media was flooded with congratulatory comments, and praises for the negotiations. Excitement for a better future was in the air. Media outlets covered the parades throughout Iran's streets, of Wealthy (Regime Connected) Iranians driving around waving Iranian flags, playing music and rejoicing. The pro-deal camp saw this as a victory, as a win, for a new chapter in US-Iran relations.
Others on the other end immediately broke out in screams of Armageddon-- that the world was officially coming to an end. Criticisms of the deal, the P5+1 and the Islamic Republic were rampant, and unforgiving. The depression, melancholy and pain portrayed by those who were against the deal was similar to that of a sore loser-- this was for them, a true loss.
But down below the lofty diplomatic collision course of "my diplomats are better than yours," are real people. Real Iranians. 115 of these same "Real Iranians" have been executed since the Iran Deal was announced...
Now ask yourself, who are the real winners and losers?
The winner here is definitely not the Doves-- those who believe that a deal with Iran will bring about a new world order based on mutual respect, respectful negotiation and cooperation. The winner here is the Islamic Establishment in Iran, the Islamic Regime, that is now emboldened and strengthened in strangling (literally and figuratively) its people-- the Iranian people. This deal validates and legitimizes today's most murderous Regimes.
The loser here isn't the Hawks in Washington or London or Paris-- those who think the free world will exist no more. The loser here is the collective Iranian people, who will, as a result of this deal, be subject to further scrutiny by the fanatical Regime controlling them. The Iranian people who will face increased charges of "threatening national security" for using Twitter, or "public indecency" for showing too much hair, or "apostasy" for following Jesus-- not Muhammed, are the real losers here.
This isn't a political battle-- there are lives at stake here. We have to focus on the REAL implications of an Iran Deal. And with 115 more people executed in the last 2 weeks alone, I think we know what those implications are...
