Sh*t happens. Deal With It

In The Great Gatsby's rec list diary s/he writes
Hell, you could argue that Hillary's been building up to this day since the mid-90's. That's an awful long time to hold a dream, and it's understandable that she needs a little bit of time to get used to it.
I hope the Obama supporters on here take a moment and imagine themselves in Clinton's shoes, or the shoes of her supporters. How hurt would you feel to have worked so hard and come up short? How easy would it be to feel cheated,...
You know, this kind of pisses me off.
No, let's make that, this really pisses me off.
My ire isn't directed at Gatsby; instead, it's directed at those who are refusing to accept Senator Clinton's defeat, and dragging us all along as they wallow in their disappointment.
Shit happens. If the worst thing in your life is that you came in second while seeking the Democratic nomination for President of the United States — a pretty goddamned august place to be, IMO — I really don't think you have a lot to complain about. Especially when the "worst" means you get to go back to your position of power: you keep your job, you keep your mansion, you keep your millions of dollars. You're not homeless, jobless, without medical insurance. Your child is healthy and cushioned by your family's name and wealth.
And needing "more time" — please. The outcome of this election has been known for weeks, if not months.
A lot of people have dealt with a hell of a lot worse.. Quite often, they don't have several months to "get used to it"; nor do they have crowds of adoring admirers to see them through.
No, most people, when faced with what really is the worst that can happen, deal with their anger and their pain, and get on with accepting the inevitable. They don't fucking have the chance to drag millions of people along in a prolonged paroxysm of feeling unfairly used and abused.
Yeah, I'm pulling the dead baby card here. I've had the worst happen. I've supported a friend through the worst happening.
Senator Clinton and her supporters are supposed to be mature women, but they're acting like wounded teenagers who didn't the lead in the class play. I can't put myself in their shoes; I outgrew them long ago.
