CO Ag Department Tests Find Salmonella in Recalled Dog Treats
By News Desk | January 31, 2015
Routine testing of samples by the Colorado Department of Agriculture returned positive results for Salmonella in Big Bark All Natural Beef Jerky Treats for Dogs made by Grill-Phoria LLC of Loveland, CO.
The Northern Colorado company subsequently recalled about 200 bags of the jerky treats, each weighing 3.5 pounds, because of the possibility suggested by the test results for Salmonella contamination. The recalled product was manufactured and distributed between Sept. 20, 2014, and Jan. 2, 2015, without any lot codes.
